U.S. Science Policy: Where Are We Now? Where Are We Headed?

At the 2010 BPS Annual Meeting, the public affairs committee sponsored this session focused on the status of science policy in the United States a year in to President Obama's Presidency. The speakers, Arthur Bienenstock and James McMahon addressed this question by reviewing the science-related goals the President set out for his administration and the status of those goals, federal science appointments, funding, science education, and changes made and proposed to energy and stem cell policies. Both speakers have generously provided their slides and they can be accessed below.
