SRAA Poster Competition Application Deadline Has Passed
The Student Research Achievement Award (SRAA) Poster Competition will take place virtually in 2021. The SRAA Poster Competition is open to Graduate/Masters and PhD students only. If you are an undergraduate student and interested in a poster competition, please submit an application to the Undergraduate Poster Award Competition (UPAC), above.
In order to be considered for the poster competition, students must apply to participate. Participants will be asked to pre-record a presentation of their poster. Biophysical Society staff will contact you at a later date with specific instructions on submitting any additional materials required.
Although the deadline for applying to the SRAA competition is November 16, 2020, please note that your associated abstract must have been submitted by the early abstracts deadline of October 1, 2020. Only abstracts selected for poster presentations are eligible for the Student Research Achievement Award; abstracts selected for platform sessions will not be eligible for this competition.
Students will be scored on: Hypothesis/Theory, Methods (procedures & techniques), Results (data, analysis, and interpretation), Conclusion & Future Investigations, and Responses to questions. Judges will select the best presentation(s) in each research area to receive a monetary award.
To participate in the SRAA Poster Competition, the following rules apply:
-
The student must be enrolled in a graduate/masters or PhD program.
-
Your abstract must have been submitted by the early abstracts deadline: October 1, 2020.
-
The student must be a student member of the Biophysical Society with current year membership dues paid by the abstract deadline: October 1, 2020.
