Dear Colleagues,
It is with pleasure that we invite you to participate in the Biophysical Society Conference, Molecular Biophysics of Membranes, to be held June 5-10, 2022, at Granlibakken Tahoe in Tahoe City, California.
This meeting was originally scheduled for June 2020 but has been postponed two years due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. We look forward to welcoming you in Tahoe as we discuss approaches to defend against yet another infectious threat to global health.
The meeting, focused on the topic of membrane biophysics, will bring together scientists with a diverse range of perspectives, approaches, and disciplines including (but not limited to) physiology, engineering, cell biology, chemistry, and physics. The program seeks to catalyze cross-fertilization that spurs frontier research advances, bringing together scientists working in different areas of membrane biology, including those using computational methods and those using experimental methods, those focusing on the membrane lipids and those focusing on the membrane proteins, those studying model membranes and those studying biological membranes. The attendees, particularly students and junior researchers, will be provided with a positive and informal environment for interaction with the leaders in the field to stimulate the exchange of ideas and foster collaborations among them.
Visit the website for the program overview and list of speakers. Please share this information with colleagues who may be interested in attending.
Please note that the deadline to submit an abstract is March 8, 2022, and the deadline to register at the early registration rate is March 21, 2022. Abstract submission is free and short talks will be selected from among submitted abstracts.
We look forward to seeing you in Tahoe.
