ROCKVILLE, MD – The Biophysical Society is pleased to announce that Paula J. Booth, PhD, of King's College London, has been named the recipient of the Society’s 2025 Anatrace Membrane Protein Award. Booth will be honored at the Society’s 69th Annual Meeting, being held in Los Angeles, California from February 15-19, 2025.
Booth is being recognized for continuing pioneering contributions to our understanding of the biophysics of membrane protein folding, particularly folding kinetics.
“Paula is a true pioneer in the field of membrane protein folding,” said BPS President Gabriela Popescu of the University of Buffalo. “Through her work, Paula has transformed a fledgling field into a more sophisticated research area. She is a true innovator whose vision and leadership promoted constructive scientific communications in the field of membrane proteins.”
About the Award - Funded by Anatrace, Inc., this award recognizes an outstanding investigator who has made a significant contribution to the field of membrane protein research. The award is designed to promote membrane protein studies and recognize excellence in the field.
