This virtual networking event will provide an overview of the interplay between biophysical principles and mechanical forces in shaping the function of cell membranes. Topics will include: structural foundations, functional machinery, ion channel dynamics, membrane transport mechanisms, mechanobiology in action, and translational applications. The seminar is designed for researchers and students with a background in biology, physics, or related disciplines. It aims to foster a deeper understanding of the intricate relationship between membrane structure, mechanics, and cellular function.
This event is organized by BPS member Dr. Thyageshwar Chandran, National Institute of Technology, India.
The event will take place virtually from 10 AM to 5 PM Indian Standard Time, on October 25, 2024. Time zone converter
