With rapid advancements in science and technology, synthetic biology stands as a field that is continually redefining innovation in biology. Synthetic biology can solve some of Africa’s pressing challenges if integrated together with biophysical science. synthetic biology with integration with biophysical science techniques provide a technology that is low-cost diagnostic tools that can help in disease prevention and treatment. synthetic biology is broader and multidisciplinary, therefore this event will be an eye opener to the scientist on how the face of science is changing and is helpful in solving various challenges in the current world.
The future depends on synthetic biology and biophysical science and several researchers have started collaborations and other partnerships that can create awareness and induce growth of synthetic biology. Africa already has capable scientists. It only needs its leadership to appreciate these newer technologies and actually fund their development.
The event will be an interactive session to learn on new techniques that are able to solve challenges in Africa.
This event is organized by BPS Member Sabella Kiprono, Masinde Muliro Univsity of Science and Technology.
